Once I had learned a few songs and chords on the guitar, soloing and learning to play lead guitar began to become a high priority on my list of things to learn, but one of the biggest mistakes you can make is only studying other musicians riffs, licks and songs. If you want to be able to jam with other musicians, learning the structure of the major scale and it 7 different modes can help in many ways.

  1. Download and print the two provided art files on Glossy Photo Paper     |  Art File1Art File2 |
  2. use an exacto razor blade to carefully cut out the scale degree windows

  3. Cut between lines of center pie slices from the center circles edge to center

  4. Gently begin to push pie slices downwards to the circles edge until they're a standing column
    that looks like a crown

  5. Turn upside down and set to the side
